I've been trying to find tubing and fittings to replace the vac advance line from the carb to distributor in my 49 F3. No luck so far, can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier? Thanks.
NAPA sells the nuts that go on each end, I don't know if that helps you... It is called a "Ford Nut", believe it or not, it's sold by Weatherhead to NAPA and also to Grainger and some other shops you probably don't have over there...
Thanks Ross, that's what I'm after. You are right, we have none of those shops here. I found them on Summit, $10.99 for 3 nuts and almost $50 for postage. I hate it when companies make money on the postage. Will keep searching.
just bought a pair of these from NAPA today. I'm making me a new line. I'll have the part number in a few days. I ordered a couple other fittings and had them put these on that ticket. So no numbers yet. They keep them in stock.
Aussie, I can get some and slip them in an envelope to you. I charge a "lot" less than summit! You might want to get a dozen and resell them to other Aussies. In fact I just had an idea, I'll PM you.

Ross,
Is it the 59x4 or the 6100x3? Also, how do you set that up? Do you slide the tube through and flare the end?
The correct parts are the 6100x3, I just got a bag of them from NAPA. $1.29 each. They don't need any flaring, when they are tightened into the female it wedges the end down and into the tubing, so it is essentially self-flaring. If you are familiar with Swageloks, it works about the same.
Just spent the last two hours installing Swageloks. They are also similar to air line fittings on truck brake systems with the brass "olive" that gets compressed.
