'91 Fuel Pump Power
Here's the story:
Waited in line and got a full tank of gas. I drove home and parked, and my plan was to use the fuel pump to get a gallon back out so I could drive my beater car to the gas station. I grounded the fuel pump test on the EEC-IV connector and turned the ignition switch, but the pump didn't come on. Took off the jumper, and still no fuel pump. The relay itself does work, but doesn't click, and the EEC POWER relay works and has power. Based on the circumstances, I'd say odds are that it has something to do with having grounded the EEC-IV connector.
I did do a search, and in the only thread with a similar problem, the OP never followed through with any possible causes of the problem. I will have access to my tools tomorrow. Until then, any thoughts on what may be going on here?
I realize in hindsight it was dumb to be lazy about siphoning the gas out, but I've learned my lesson.
