83' F-250 / Late Model Wheels?

I just picked up an 83' F-250 2wd. Looking to pick up a set of wheels to put winter tires on. I'm finding some good deals on late model wheels on eBay.

Other than the diameter being larger, is there anything else to consider when buying later year wheels for this truck?

Thanks!

Ford switched to a metric bolt pattern sometime in the early/mid 90s.

Oh, good to know... Think I found what I'm going to get on good ol' Tire Rack a few minutes ago anyway.

Thank you!

your local junkyard is the best deal around $10-25 for a factory original steel wheel.

I have turbine style rims from a 88' Crown Vic on my truck I got from the junkyard. Not quite the true turbine rim, but very close. With the center caps, I have had a few nice compliments!

edit: I have 5 lug wheels, and I'am not sure what your F250 has.

all f250s had 8 lug wheels, usually 16"

82 F100 man, your truck has the small F100 pattern, whick is actually kind of rare, and is F100 specific.

The 250/350's run 8x6.5" and did until 97.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm just going to go with some after market wheels now, I think. Good to know that the bolt pattern is the same up to 97' though.
