Sandy Victims get shafted.

It will take days/weeks for some people in New Jersey who lost power to be reconnected.
Especially as Non-Union Linemen were turned away.

That's not bureaucracy. That's Big Unions for you--heaven forbid they owe anyone any favors.

Chris Christie has demanded that the utility companies work harder to return power to the 1.7 million still in the dark.

He should sign an Executive Order to request "All" aid and provide security via armed NJ National Guard.

You know, this is just nuts. I'm a member of the IBEW, and I totally disagree with this. These guys are there to help, not take jobs. What a bunch of crap.

I saw that at another forum and there was a reply that there was some kind of group set up so that the crews would be sent to the places needing it most. Anyway the bottom line story was a little different than what this story is. Which one is true I have no clue, but I would hope that they would not send someone packing.

Just shows you how much power the unions have in New York. Not one elected official, all the way up to Obama have the cajones to stand up to them. Sad state this country is in.

I'll reserve judgement until all the facts are in, which will likely be after the election.

there are 5 southern crews working in my town alone.
Jersey Central Power & Light welcomed the non union crews help with open arms. some of the JCP&L guys have not been home in 5 days now.
