slave cylinder issue

im like 95% sure that my slave or master cylinder went out. driving through town, clutch pedal got soft and stuck on the floor. added fluid worked for 15 minutes than happened again. i havent checked for leaks yet but does this sound like im on the right track?

master or slave.

if its the slave, you'll find fluid leaking from it, or see that its split in half.
something to that effect.
