97 E-250 Work Van No Heat

My father owns a 1997 Ford E-250 work or cargo style van that has no heat. There is a door attached to a white box which I assume is the heater blend door. The door seems to be opening and closing from what i can see. The heater core has been flushed out. I don't know were to look next and cant seem to find the problem

. Any and all advice is appreciated.

Is there an air lock in the system ? Is the thermostat opening ? Thew default position should be defrost...is there any heat out of there ?

I am having the same problem with my 1997 e-150. How do I actually get to the heater blend door.I wondered about taking the fan off from the outside but even that will not come out all the way.
