Anyway my truck is bucking, jerking, fartin, and stalling! It also is bringing up a lean code 172 on koer.
This has been really bothering me. I have replaced distributor bearings worn. Replaced fuel pump and regulator, new air charge sensor, coolant temp sensor, map sensor, removed and cleaned injectors new seals and caps. New tps sensor new egr sensor new vacum lines truck should run new.
Heres where it gets strange!!! If i create a vacum leak to map sensor truck is much more drivable but is now running rich!! Also 2 new map sensors were used with original all the same.
This thing is driving me nuts.
Also to add. New plugs, wires dizzy cap, coil compression on all cylinders well over 150 truck has 165,000 miles new fuel filter to.
Any help would be appreciated thx
Also new oxygen sensor and fuel filter.
Computer was also swapped no change

That single block ground seems to be a "weak point" for the 4.9's.
Dual tanks ????
If so, it could be the in-dash tank selector switch goin' kaput on you.
Bob
Checked all grounds nothing there to cause concern.
Just strange if i pull vacum line of tree for map sensor and bend on a downwward angle to create a gap between line and tree truck runs much better.
If i do a koer test like that i get a rich code and it is running rich. Which tells me 02sensor is working and injectors "could" work well enough.
Also if map sensor is plugged in and get truck idleing for a minute, idle will suddenly start to stumble push throttle and it will not take it stumble worse and lose vacum.
If i goose the throttle a few times truck will start to rev and then idle fine for another minute until it suddenly starts to stumble again.
No its not the iac. Its def running lean but why?
Im ready to set fire to this thing and count my loss. Gimme a carb and points and can basicaly fix any problem with a matchbook, paper clip, and vicegrips
*Edit* I just re-read your post... scratch that
