87 ford died while driving
Bought my first ford a coule weeks ago. Ran and idled great until last week. One day after school it wouldnt start, so i put in a new starter and cellenoid and it fired right up. While driving the other day, it died while idling at a light, slowly started back up. Got a couple miles down the road and then it died again. Couldnt get it to start. Had it towed and diagnostics ran on the fuel pump and lines. Idled fine for 30 minutes at the shop and drove fine for a couple days. Just died again on me while idling at a light, any suggestions on where to look next?

When it dies, you are going to need to do some diagnosis before things cool off and the problem goes away. First check is to see if you lost fuel or spark. Spraying a shot of starting fluid in the intake is quick and easy. If it runs for a second or 2, you have spark and need to focus on the lack of fuel. You can pull the coil wire and see if you have spark.
