Working on friends truck, need HELP.Here is the problem:While removing relay in under hood box something shorted out resulting in no power anywhere. I've looked up problem on every resource that I have and can't find anything that addresses this.Thinking fuse link?Again, this is not my truck and I know very little about it (1998 f-250 LD)other than that it was running fine before short.Any help would be appreciated guys!
The 1998 F250 Light Duty is more like the 1997-2003 F150. Ford actually stopped calling it the F250 Light Duty in 1999 or 2000 I believe and started calling it the F150 Heavy Service package, or something like that to try to reduce confusion.
Appreciate the info. I found that, for the most part, the electrical systems are identical to same year 150 and actually used a 150 schematic to trace(and resolve) problem this afternoon.Fusible link, ended up being a relatively easy fix.I actually asked the guy if he was sure that truck was a 250 and didn't just have 250 emblem! Like you said rare truck, pretty much a 150 with (slightly) stouter suspension!
