Anybody have this issue and or know what could be the solution?

There are threads in here that could explain your problem. Some microchips may have broken loose and you may need to re-solder them back on.

yah! that rocked, I have a different console with only 4 clips holding it on, 3 screws to get the display out, soldered 3 chips back down and bammo! She's back, all nice and bright now too. No more than 30 minutes in and out.

Did mine for the second time yesterday. This time I drilled some holes in the plastic cover on both sides to hopefully keep it a little cooler.

Mine quit, but it turned out to be only a loose wire connector. Take it down and look at it...
