How much lift?

I was thinking of buying an excursion and if I do I want to end up lifting it a little in a few months after buying. I was wondering how much I should lift it and how much it would cost. So far I've been looking at the 4"-6" lift but I'm not sure because I don't know a whole lot about lift kits. I was also wondering how much the cost would be and if there are parts that I should make sure to get.

What size tires do you want to run? Would be a good first place to start...

6 inches will clear 35's... Seems as though some say 4 wil clear them with maybe some rubbing at full lock. From what I have been able to research on here.

Okay then I'll probably go with the 6". Are there any parts that would be a good idea to get to go with the lift?

There is a guy on here running no lift and 35's as well.... I would recommend a dual steering stabilizer...

I have a 4" BDS lift with 35s and no rubbing...next time I'll go to the 6" as you have more lift options

Im running a 6" lift with 37s and a custom front bumper. I have very minor rub when my wheels are turned and I go over things such as curbs. I never had any issues with my 35s when I had them though. 6" is a very casual lift for better clearance and bigger tires while still maintaining function.
