steering

so is there a trick to getting the original steering shaft out of the steering box

lots of aerokroil, a little heat, and patience generally does the trick. I generally do all of that and then us my large prybar to begin wiggling it free.

If your trucks steering box is like the 49 it doesn't come apart.
