I've been crazy busy lately, taking 15 credits the past two terms at Oregon State. Plus, I've been riding my XR650L most of the time because it gets more than twice the mpg's than the F350, and motorcycle parking is much better on campus.
The truck is running great, my Dana 60 and 4x4 swap are holding up so far. I still need to move the rear bracket of the front springs forward a bit. The only issue I'm having right now is it's taking longer to start than it used to (cranks over for a about 5 seconds before it fires up). Shouldn't be the injectors, and the glowplugs are fairly new and have a Stancor relay. Maybe the starter going bad... But it's still starting, so I don't feel like changing it out yet.
Other than that, life is crazy, but my wife and son are doing great, and that's what really matters!
Good to hear you and the family are doing good Evan. Check the ipr tin nut just for curiousity. I was having the issue of extended cranking a little while ago, looked and the tin nut was in the valley. Easy check anyway.
I feel for you with the schedule. I will be in that same boat shortly. I go Monday to register for spring classes at the University of Akron's local campus. I will be taking probably 10-12 credits and they will all be night classes. I am one of those errant souls who finished all their general ed classes and then took a "semester off" to decide what my major should be. That was 12 years ago (it was a long semester). The job I am in now is with a great Company where I would like to have career so not I am back at it trying to finish my degree. They will pay for it, so the way I figure I'd be stupid not to do it. That doesn't mean I am looking forward to it or what it is going to do to my schedule, though.
What's your major, or "what do you want to be when you grow up", lol?
Good to hear Evan! Sounds like everything is going good. You're getting your money worth out of that bike aren't you LOL!
Yep, my school commute is around 50 miles a week, which isn't bad, but there is hardly any parking on campus here, but motorcycle parking is right next to the building. Plus the motorcycle parking permit is $65 and the regular permit is about $200.

Yeah, it's only 10 week terms, plus working around my wife's work schedule and spending time with my son.

Thanks, I'll check it when I get a spare minute.

I'm in the school of forestry, majoring in Recreation Resource Management. I'm hoping for a job with U.S. Forest Service, Army Corps of Engineers, BLM, or National Park Service. I should get hiring preference being a disabled veteran, and the benefits are good.

Good to see you are still around bud! You good for a beer when I make it down to Corvallis?
Hang is there Falcon! If it makes any difference, the only way I made it thru college was to go to the library and lock myself into one of those private rooms and make my self study. For me to try and study around noice, kids, parties, phones, etc. was impossible.
FYI, when Falcon 1st appeared on the FTE I asked him if he had a Falcon. He said no and I told him I had a 65 Falcon. (oldbird1965) I've called him Falcon ever since and he doesn't even seem to mind, LOL
Maybe I havent been around long enough or missed the story. How/When did you become disabled? Im assuming it was while serving.
Sorry to hear... PM the story if you dont want it on here.
Or ignore me all together. Some things are just too personal and I would understand.
Either way.. thanks for serving and glad to have ya around here!
