fuel mileage

well i have a 1978 f-150 regular cab with a 300 I6 3.50 gears and a borg warner 4 speed and i was just wondering what i could expect for mileage?

There's a lot of variables involved, first and foremost is your driving style, a light foot goes a long way, another consideration is your ratio of city to highway driving.

You neglected to mention if this is 4wd or 2wd.... but having said all that, the 300 six, 4 speed, with 3.50 gearing in a 1/2 ton is a pretty economical combo, as far as dentsides are concerned.

You should, with a properly tuned engine, expect an average of 15-18 mpg.

oh its 2 wd and it'll see 2 lane black top 40 miles a day ish 60 mph steady speeds and wont get ran hard
