What kind of mileage are you getting?

I have a new to me '91 f-150 with the 300 inline 6 cyl.
Any ideas what kind of mileage I should be getting with it?
I don't do much highway driving, mostly just around town.

Your mileage will depend on many factors. Driving habits, tires, hieght, wieght, and traffic density. Utility bodies tend to wiegh more than pick up beds and if its wider than your cab it will hurt highway mileage.
My old 94 F150 4x2 F150 XL regular cab short bed wieghed 4000 lbs, 300 5 speed, had 3.55 gears and stock 235/75/15 tires. It would average 17 mpg in mixed mostly suburban driving. It did deliver a best of 20 Mpg at 60 Mph. At 70 mph it would drink a gallon of gas every 18 miles.
My 95 F150 4x2 XLT super cab short bed wieghs 4400 Lbs, 300 5 speed 3.08 gears and the same tires. Gas mileage was about the same with a 1 MPG penalty around town and slighly better or the same on the highway.
Both of these trucks had over 200k and the engines were in good to excellent condition with good compression and no running issues. Neither truck was fast but both had no trouble keeping up with traffic. I have buried the speedometer on my 95 a couple of times and it will cruise all day at 80. I also use a vacuum gauge to monitor engine load.
When I'm on vacation up in Maine both trucks would average about 19 Mpg on the two lanes.
My 92 F150 "Custom" work truck with the 300 E4OD 3.08 gears would get 12 Mpg to 14 Mpg in all stop and go driving with only an occasional trip above 40 Mph. It was beaten up pretty bad when I got it but it still ran well and was retired for rust issues.
The biggest reason I drive a Ford truck is because of the 300 and this generation body style.
YMMV

I usually only do highway driving with my F150 so hard to say what it would get in town.

EPA rates it @ 13mpg in city, and 15 highway.

I get around 14mpg mix highway/city, and 16-18 highway, doing 55mph.

Basic all stock 2wd F150, 300-6, C6, 2.73's.

abd about 70% of that was highway...
