I think used truck prices have gotten out of hand so no I don't think that's a good buy, but it is about what you will pay at any dealer fo ra similar truck. Have you priced a new one? I bet a new truck identical to that one would only be another $5k, plus you will get a brand new truck with full warranty and probably better interest rates.
I see your from Canada, so things might be different up there.
i scoured the internets last night. only found a super cab ecoboost in similar price range and not sure if it really was an ecoboost because no badges visible on it.
for used ecoboosts i found that they are sititng around 38-40k on average but range from a few thousand km to 50k kms on them at that range.
looked at new. looking at 45-55k for new with ecoboost. seems that ford has tied them to luxury package tier 2+ and that is causing them to be in more expensive trucks. even though myself i would have tied it to the offroad package for the hill climb/decent options.
truck has exactly half the factory warranty left on it (1.5 years). the cost of extending it two additional years was going to add $75 a month on the bill. around 5400$.
Ford had a nice deal in the papers for extended cab ecoboost XLT 4x4 for $25,000 but of course local dealer can find one for under 45k etc etc and then the promotion ended and nothing was ever done.
I was in the same situation as you are in now this past spring. I tried very hard to find a reasonable deal on a used 2010-11 F150 but the prices were ranging from 27-32 G's with 30k+ Km's. I eventually ordered a new F150 Screw XLT XTR 4X4 with all the options I wanted (Off Rd pkg, TT pkg, back up camera, rear step, box liner, remote start, vinyl floor) for $32K + delivery and tax. Had 9km when I picked it up and full warranty. Have never regretted buying new and with all the incentives that Ford had offered at the time it worked out to about 15K off the list price.
I was just wondering what 2011 EcoBoost trucks were going for on the used market now that these trucks are two model years old now. With normal everyday cars/trucks this is when depreciation falls off of a cliff and it doesn't help that the 2013 updates have improved the truck vastly.
I bought my 5.0L new late in 2010 as a 2011. Eventhough my truck was the all new and much improved over the 4.6/5.4 powered '09-,'10 trucks it was $12K off its $36k USDM sticker price new , that's including dealer discounts, Ford loyalty discount (traded a 2011 Ranger) all Rebates, those alone were like $5500 .vs none at the time for the then all new and hard to find EcoBoost trucks that were much more on demand.
Anyway, sorry to ramble I wonder if by now the EcoBoost trucks, used prices have come inline with the 5.0L trucks similarly equipped? I also wonder if loaded 6.2L trucks have dropped even lower as fuel prices are on the rise?
$4250 off delivery allowance
$5500 trade in on my 07 f150
------
$37889+ taxes. works that with the 0% interest and 72 months its 579.69 a month
thinking for 30-40 $ difference in payments and actually getting a decent trade in that its worth going from 11 screw to a 12 scab that is WAY more loaded.

Ford must do things different up there, down here I see eco's in stripped down XLT's all the time. Or the dealer just refuses to order a lower priced truck with the eco.
too much oil money in the area me thinks. there is oilfield stuff like crazy around here. in winnipeg i see lots of eco's in plain jane trucks but no options to compliment the engine..
Used truck prices are simply stupid. Gone are the days when Ford is building 800 K F-series trucks in one year and then flooding the market with used models from lease turn ins and rental / auction buy backs.
I can never recommend a used truck as the discounts are gone, the financing terms typically change and the warranty is partially or mostly used up.
If one were able to find an FX model or higher end truck with low miles then I would say have a look and negotiate. The XLT models like the one in the pic are very commonly lease / rental turn ins.
Used - who knows what has happened to it or who has drove it and how it has been treated.
New - what if it's a lemon? had an 04 Chevy Optra new... recalls, clock died, dash came apart, computer died, tail light lense came apart and somehow got a mosquito in it lol. all that within 40k kms.
Going to go down to local dealer this morning with the soon to be new wifey and look at the trucks there and see how well we fit into that super cab or if its out of the question.

SuperCab room in the front row is no different than the Crew Cab models so fitting there shouldn't be an issue. I also have two small boys 1.5 yrs and 4 in car seats fitted in the rear seats. IMO the SuperCab is more than enough. I also think and feel the SuperCab is bigger and roomier than my old '05 Dodge Ram Cummins trucks Quad Cab. A plus on the SuperCab is there is no middle post as the door open like a barns do so this makes loading my kids in their car seats extremely easy, same with large tools and objects. Recently put a 52" TV in there, still in the box.
Ofcourse a full Crew Cab would be nice, but I must have a min 6' Box since I use this truck like a TRUCK daily. I can't use those 5' 1/2 boxes that come with the standard Crew Cab model and the Crew Cab 6' box model makes for a seriously long truck. I have to drive into some tight neighborhoods and sometime apartment complexes and my SuperCab is already long enough.
Well I got a 2012 scab. The one in the window sticker actually. Got the pre paid maintenance because that bumped warranty to full coverage for 5 years.
