Does anyone know how to remove the radio antenna on a 2012 f250. I need a shorter one because it hits the cross beams of the parking garage at work. Thank's
...create a thread with a meaningful title? Glad you asked. Why not give a summary of what you're looking to know in a few words? Try something like "Removing radio antenna" for example.
Then again from someone who doesn't know how to unscrew a radio antenna, maybe that's asking too much.
Its too dark out now to check mine out, but it probably just unscrews. I use to have the same issue in my F150. I just removed the antenna, removed the ball at the end of it (you can pull it straight off with a pair of pliers), removed 2 inches, and reattached the ball. I don't suggest removing any more as the antenna would then be lower than the roof line. The antenna acts as an early warning system to prevent a very costly roof repair.
WOW thanks. The ant has a cover over the base so I can't get a wrench on it. Im not as dumb as the the first person may think, just don't won't to mess any thing up.
It sounds similar to my 08. There are just three little screws that hold it down under the cowel. It doesnt look hard to me. Pop the hood and you can look bach and see it.
