Hey guys, looking for pics of anyone's f150 with Mickey Thompson classic II or classic lock wheels. Even better with duratrac tires around them. Thanks, looking to buy these soon.
I like the MT classics alot, how do you guys keep them polished up so nice? Dang uncoated AL likes to stain it seems. Only way I have come up with is a scotch brite pad, some mag wheel polish and alot of time!
So with a 1995 XLT F150 Supercab, 1.5" leveling springs up front, 33" tires on 15x10 MT Classic II can I turn the wheels lock to lock without rubbing on anything? It has 3 5/8" backspacing & -46mm offset. I'm not sure what that means but someone here probably does.

There is your problem right there. You are scratching the **** out of the wheel with that. If you use some Mothers polish twice a year with WEEKLY cleanings using Automotive soap, they will stay looking nice

I tried using just mothers polish on a lint free cloth and it didnt do anything. Literally, the stains were still there. My best results were using very fine steel wool and some mothers mag polish at about 15mins a wheel. No other polish i tried did anything. automotive soap, simple green, etc, etc dont do zilch on them. Maybe Im just unlucky and have special MT wheels lol.
Wheels get stained from the weather and road salt round here. Infact right now they got mud on them that I cant wash off too easy. Pressure washer didnt do much, guess Ill go scrub them by hand.
next set I get Im powdercoating gunmetal or something.
Are they a machined wheel or something, because polished wheels hold their own pretty well with regular cleaning and twice a year polish.
NOW they are scratched and will stain and corrode ALOT faster. You will need to wet sand them with 2000, then follow up with compound, then polish.
NEVER uses abrasives on polished wheels EVER. You will just ruin them, like you have done
