I am redoing my 86 truck in which I already had installed a 1995 dash. I recently acquired a set of 1996 rear doors and front door trim panels with full power, also the wiring harnesses.
Unfortunately, the "new" stuff is light blue, the truck interior is currently the burgundy used in 86. I was able to get most of the interior from the donor vehicle. I can't use the B and C pillar parts due to the change in seat belt design in 87.
The vehicle I removed the parts from is a 1996 crew cab DRW truck and as near as I can determine the interior code is 564. It is a light blue shade and I am trying to find trim paint to match it as I need to dye the B and C pillar trim and repair a cracked area in the dash (tree fell on the truck).
I am attaching a picture of the door label from the 96.
Update, I went to the local Ford dealer yesterday and he ended up running the VIN and came up with 6 being the important number. Under careful examination it is a blueish gray and is referred to as Opal Gray by Ford.
