That's just what I was thinking Darin, he migt want all new lines and cooler. I do have the spin on filter though and like Aaron said, he might look in the pan too. We shall see. Two true cools, that would be a lot of cooling!
Glenn I'd see if he will take a test drive with just his setup and then with the cure and see what he says
That might be a problem because the plug pins had to be moved around on the harness plug to use the cure. Its been five or six years so I don't really remember what had to be done but if he doesn't want it in there I hope what was done can be 'undone'. Rick seemed to think because its just a PCM mod and not a trans mod itself, it should be left on. As far as the test ride, that maybe should be done before any work is done so he can see how the cure and racerx valve body works. I think its shifting great and as far as I'm concerned he should use the racerx valve body and save me a few hundred dollars instead of getting his valve body. This will be interesting to see how all this plays out. I'm counting down the days, LOL My nephew is going to redo my whole a/c system soon.
I also want to start gathering parts for the turbo, is there anybody left on your list Mike that's interested? Hope the insurance company is working with you.
As far as the two tru cools goes... There is a such thing as too much cooling. lol
There is such thing as too much restriction. That tube and fin cooler is great for adding restriction, but it is pretty poor at heat rejection. I'd dump it.
I run it to hard to stay cool, LOL. Anyway, I emailed John Wood and sent him the picture I posted here and also asked about warranty. Here is his response:
They should flush if not get replaced Warranty 3yr parts lifetime labor in my shop
The last two rebuilds the two coolers have flushed clean and were not replaced.
For comparison, Racerx's warranty is 3yr. 500,000 miles. No, I didn't put an extra 0 in there. I don't know what BTS is.

In your opinion what's the best cooler to put on one of these trucks that's towing at its limits every day in the mountains?
I think BTS likes the 6.0 cooler.. at least that's what they put on a buddy of mines truck, but if it won't fit on an OBS, it does us no good. I don't have much room with the DI intercooler up there anyways. Even less room than with a stock SD IC. LOL

I'm sorry Mark, I don't follow you. Ary you referring to the hayden cooler mounted down low? I guess I'm showing my ignorance but aren't they both fin and tube? What would you recommend?
With this setup I went from 210*-220* to 185*-195*. It has worked well but maybe your saying to get rid of the hayden cooler and I would be better off? Please explain, Thanks Mark!
