i'm back......finally

so after being without my computer for too long i'm finally back. it's been a while so i'll do a short rundown of my problem and what i've done so far. the problem is rough running, long spool-ups, poor fuel economy, and lack of power.

here's everything i've done and the reason for doing each:
replaced turbo outlet hose- had a rip in it
replaced ipr and pigtail- wires were bare and shorted together
replaced icp and pigtail- oil blown through sensor and bare wires
installed updated turbo drain tube- tube was cheap and the turbo was off
replaced inj. to ficm harness- oil soaked and bare wires shorted together
replaced thermostat- temps would'nt get above 174 degrees
installed 2 new batteries- they're almost 4 years old and getting weak
replaced alternator- it was cheaper than 1 new battery
changed oil and filter- it was time, switched from motorcraft to rotella t6
replaced ficm with one from Ed- 32 volts on cold start

everything i've done has helped but it's still not right. i'm going to get the icp, ipr, and icv readings today and post back up as soon as possible, as Benny requested.

ebp readings

one more thing, the ebp reading on my sg2 is always 0. is this because it's not working or could i have a later flash that uses inferred ebp?

see if i would have listened to you guys and got a monitor a long time ago i would at least have some baseline numbers!
as always, any help greatly appreciated. thanks everybody

EBP should be about 14 at idle. You can double check EBP x-gauge. It works on my ScanGauge2.

Exhaust Back Pressure

RXF: 046285140645

RXD: 3010

After scanning through the thread it looks as if you have an early 04 (ICP under turbo) which will not give you an EBP reading because it's a PCM inferred value.

i noticed some of my readings are different than the ones Benny posted, can that be my problem? from all the reading i've done on the hpo system i would'nt be surprised if my hpop is goin out. if thats the case i hope it warms up soon cause my truck won't fit in my garage and i've had it with workin on this thing in the cold!

I wanted to bump you up.

Your ICP and IPR are real close to Benny's numbers. ICV is off just enough to make me wonder.

It would be nice to know the EBP number because PCM uses that number to control turbo, and it sounds like the problem you are having.

Also EGR can cause some odd running issues, you can try cleaning valve.

This would be true to your 05^^^^

But Not his 04

04 will use MAF and MAP to calibrate Turbo

Your HPO Numbers Look Close enough to consider Good Dont look like a HPO Problem at this point

So lets look into turbo
Post these at KOEO,Low Idel and High Idel (2500RPM)
BARO
MAP
MAFV

and keep scaning for DTC one could showup anytime some only set after multiple drive cycle Failures

Ah.....Got it.

I thought early 6.0's used EBP also, Thanks Benny.

Benny, why would you have him post ICP and ICV, aren't these redundant. Isn't ICP calculated from ICV? Sorry still learning.
