302 water pump bolt order

I did a search and found everything but what I was looking for.

I did cardinal sin and lost track of the bolt order when changing water pump on 90 302. Anyone have a diagram of where the 7 bolts go?
Haynes doesn't have it. I tried Oreily and autozone.

I did a dry run of where I think they go and it seemed ok, but I don't want to try with rtv until I'm sure.

You probably have the bolts in the right place. There are most likely a couple studs that have to be in certain spots, but position of the rest of the bolts isn't critical.
What is important is that they all go far enough into the block to avoid tearing out threads, and don't go in so far they bottom out or hit the shoulder preventing them from tightening against the pump.
You could lay the pump face down on a flat surface and drop the bolts in and they should all stick up roughly the same amount, not exactly as bolts are somewhat proportional, but is should be easy to spot an odd bird.
Then pick the pump straight up and look at the bolts from underneath, all you should be able to see are threads, once again, roughly the same length.
I would coat the whole bolt shaft with antiseize to help avoid future problems.

There are two different size threads, so I for them in the right place. Looking at the pump and the block, you can tell where longer ones need to go.
It's the studs that are puzzling. If I knew what hung on the stud, I'd know where they go.......looking around the engine, I don't see what would.

This is for a 96 351 but should be the same.

The red lines are connecting the bolts with studs on the back that are the same length.
The blue lines are connecting the two bolts that are the same length without studs on the back.
The green line is the long bolt with no stud on the back
The yellow line is the longest bolt of all of them and with a stud on the back.
And the last one can be determined by a process of elimination. Lol
Hope this helps.

Thanks. That looks about how I got it. I put it on and everything went home and no conslicts. One of the bolts with threads on both sides helps mou t the power sterering/aC bracket. Not sure what the other is for but I hav it next to it and the Lower radiator hose.
I'll fire up tomorrow and look for leaks.
