now i have heard it all, i dont see it being a problem locally though.
i run with mine in all the time, only take it out when i may need more room.
Plus I think the 60-75 lb 3rd row from the Excursion isn't going to be
so easy to stuff into the trunk/back seat of ANY vehicle.
I also doubt many people can carry it by themselves either.
Thieves will do anything to steal your stuffs inside your car. Thus, it's crucial to lock your third row seats before leaving your car. Thieves across the country are targeting a vehicle part that may shock some. Apparently, there is a healthy black market for the removable third row seats in some SUVs. The issue is particularly widespread in Texas and California.

You can lock it, weld it, or tie a dog to it but the broken glass is expensive too. I keep mine in the garage until I have 9 people to ride in my truck. Many look into the back windows in Victorville California just to walk away without a seat. Walmart, Home Depot and Lowes are the worst with Costco close behind. Watch in the parking lots and you can see the thieves waiting. Catalytics 3rd seats copper wires....... anything for a quick buck other than hard work.
My Bassetts love the back when the 2nd seats are folded and the 3rd is out. Better than a campershell and they can drool and bark everywhere.
