I'm planning on getting a BPD EGR cooler/oil system, I'm planning on doing everything my self (military experience working on diesels and my 6.0 I do my own work on).
The main question since at times I can have 4 days off of work, should I do both the EGR swap and oil system the same time, or will it hurt anything if I do one one week then the other the other week.
If I'm going to do one then the other, I'll plan on changing the EGR cooler first, then the next week the oil system.
The same amount of work and same things have to be removed to get to either. Just do them both at the same time and be done. It took me about 4 days. And I had no diesel experience.
Definitely do both at the same time. It doesn't make sense to tear the motor down, fix one part, and then tear it down a week later to fix a second part (that's right next to the first).
