I dunno. Just sounded like a joke from cheezit. Cheapest isn't a very effective term,,, how about "cost effective". Cause raising the truck could be easy, but the "cheapest" way could cost more in the long run.
Little phrase,,, why do some people never have enough time to do it right, but always have time to do it again. Not sure it pertains to this post, but it came to mind.
Almost don't want to fess up on this but it is funny. When I was kid one of my first cars was 1969 Dodge Dart. It looked pretty good and I got a set of Cragar wheels with L60 (remember those?) tires on the rears. Well, they bolted up and looked good but were rubbing the fender lip and "massaging" the lip with a hammer didn't fix it soooo, I jacked it up and put muffler clamps on the shocks!! Yup, just put the clamps on the shock skirt and tightened the crap out of them. It worked great for 50 miles or so (except I was worried about tearing up the headliner with my head going over bumps) then they started slipping. I didn't want to chew up my cool tires, so I jacked it up -in the Dairy Queen parking lot on Saturday night- and figured out a better way, put the clamp on the shock body and let the skirt sit on top of it!!! Duh, should have done that in the first place .
Needless to say, I quickly learned about air shocks and shackles.
