Ok guys I bought a 97 expedition that was a theft recovery. I have the dash pulled to replace the main wire harness that runs to all the doors and behind the dash.
Now the question is, Is there anything else I should replace or look at while the dash is pulled? I only want to do this once so I nned to take care of what every I can while the dash is out. Thanks, Jason
I am definitely no expert, but after what I went through last weekend with a heater core replacement on my 97 F-150, I would definitely open that plenum box and replace the heater core AND the heater blend door.
Edit: And when I say change them, I mean change them regardless of whether or not the core is currently leaking. It's a hell job. If you're already there, just change it now so that you don't have to go back there when it goes bad in a week, month, year, etc. Here's a quick thread I did after I did mine. Watch the 3-part video, and you'll realize how advantageous it would be for you to do it now considering you already have the dash removed. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ggestions.html
