96 460 in to a 73 crewcab

Has anyone here installed a 96 or newer california 460 and transmission into an older truck? What am I looking at as far as problems? Has anyone gone with an aftermarket computer?
Any help would be great.
Thanks Leadmic.

leadmic -

The powertrain in Harrison (see my gallery) came from an 86 van--- had all the fancy stuff including electronic gizmos.

I just took all that stuff off and installed a Mallory dizzy and removed the egr stuff as the truck is "historic" in Georgia.

I know you asked about the 90's model, but there isn't that much difference unless you want all that electronic gobbledy-gook...
