Unhappy Headlight connections

We have two expeditions, 1998 and 2002. We have been running the bright white or halogen bulbs in both vehicles. It appears that due to the temprature of the bulbs, the connector becomes hot and is basicaly burned. Is there a harness or some kind of modification that can be made, or should I simply replace the connectors??

Your problem is that you are using the wrong wattage. You need to use 55/65watt (low/high beam) bulbs. Using those aftermarket bulbs is cool, just get them in the right wattage. Some brands, like PIAA, make bulbs that are 55/65w, but their light output is like 110w. I've used them for years, and they haven't melted my lights or connectors.
