driving with OD off

Hey guys I serviced my tranny and it seems to not help my converter shudder so Im trying to get price quotes on replacing the transmission. My mechinic dosnt recomend a new converter without a new transmission. Anyway I drive to work and the truck ran great but for whatever reason the truck seemed to give me more issues with the shudder issue. If I turn off the OD it seems to run better or shift better.

My question is will driving with the OD off hurt the transmission? I know its on the way out but I want to help it anyway I can so I dont have to replace it right away when money is not there. Hope that makes sense

The ONLY thing driving with the OD off will hurt is your fuel milage

You have pulled the codes right to see if there are nay sensor issues?

X2 on pulling codes. May just be a sensor issue. Bought a truck a few years back with a "bad" e4od. Ended up needing a solenoid pack and drove it 50k miles after that...
