Stuck fuel filter
Right, only I've got the wrench pointed toward the cab so I am pushing toward the air filter. Haven't tried to hook it on the other way, it just seemed like there was the most room over on this side.
That would be correct then. Like said earlier try to tigthen it a smidge and then loosen. I have the best luck with a set of heavy duty rubber strap wrenches for oil, fuel and water filters..Go figure
Trick I learned from watching a youtube video is to take an old leather belt and wrap it around like a strap wrench, then pull like hell. I had to do this with my fuel filter. Wouldn't be surprised if I was the first to ever change it. Of course, being a big boy, I had a good bit of belt. I ended up fishing it between the hood and the cowl and standing on the drivers side of the truck by the time it was done. Looked hysterical, but it worked. Dented the filter for sure. Never could get the separator off, so I use the NAPA all-in-one instead.

I too had a hell of a time getting one off. Screwedriver trick just tore through it, and all straps crushed it. I just got filter pliers that were actually too small and grab a crushed area and eventually came off. Good luck!
