74 Weak Start

When I go to crank the truck over I get very little response, allmost like the battery is dead. I put it on the charger and same thing, had the battery tested and it checks out ok. Trying to get an idea on where to begin troubleshooting.

My 73 ,302 did that about 2 weeks ago. It was just like a bad battery ,but the battery was new and fully charged. I removed the starter and found it had a brass bushing coming out of the nose of it. The starter was new and had started the engine 30 times at the most. New one took care of the problem.

Another thing to check... Make sure your battery cables are connected tightly and there is no corrosion at the ends. Also, check where the negative/ground cable connects on the block. I had one that was a little dirty and loose, and it caused the motor to crank slow.
