I dunno, they're not L&L's, they look pretty sweet though.
I had L&L mounts once and they separated. Hence the reason I've been searching for stronger mounts.
I copied & pasted this quote from JBG's page:
These 460 motor mounts are used to place a 460 motor in place of the original 351M/400 motor that came in the late 70's Ford trucks.
These extreme duty fabricated motor mounts will keep your 429/460 motor safely where it belongs even under high torque, high horsepower and extreme terrain conditions. This motorsport-inspired engine mount is superior in strength and appearance to competitors 460 swap motor mounts, which typically consist of a cube of rubber simply molded to a thin steel plate--which can and will separate under hard use. Extreme Duty Motor Mounts feature tough urethane bushings and a massive 9/16" bolt to keep your engine where it belongs even under severe, prolonged abuse.
I just ordered a set right now. I had been trying to get on their web page for a few days, but it would never connect. Thanks for the link.
Shipping was pretty expensive at $15.95 (ground), but still ahead of the JBG price.
I had heard somewhere these were manufactured by a company called Pro Fab. But I could never confirm that. WCB probably has them made...and then sells to JBG like you mentioned.
I've heard and read that where you use poly mounts in one area the other will need to be replaced too. If not then you will experience breakage.
In such said quote above, I'm referring to the motor mounts having poly bushings and then I ask if the t-case crossmember is being replaced for poly mounts in order to match up the strength with the new poly motor mounts.
Thing is, I've never heard of any aftermarket company making poly mounts for the t-case crossmember.
I have heard of rubber and poly used at same time and something causing problems due to the softer material of one or the other. Being that I'm a GM guy and my main forum I frequent is Colorado K5.com I can speak from reading experiences of others having these problems when they mix and match instead of matching. There have been several reports of breakage on the t-case adaptors when poly and rubber are used. But when poly and poly or rubber and rubber are used then the breakage goes away.
So my big question now is does anyone make poly t-case mounts for the Ford rigs?
