I think the L55 means it is a Limited Slip 3.55. What is the axle code is the drivers door jam?

Yes, that "L55" is suppose to be 3L55, you have 3.55 gears and a Limited slip, great setup if that is still what's in there, probably is. If you think the gears have been changed, I can tell you how to do that, but I won't type it if i don't have to.

Primary rig is Green Thunder:
95' F-150 XLT 4x4, 302, 5 spd, MSD 6A, Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust, Sunroof, Clear corners w/ Diamond headlights, CD player with 2 10" subs and some 32" BFG Muds .

That's it for mods now, saving for a Stang. Check out my Gallery for a look-see.

There is a sticker on the passanger side of the axle. That will tell you. Or, you can lift the tires off the ground, lock the hubs, and turn 1 tire by hand. If the other tire spins in the same direction, it's LS, if it turns in the opposite direction, it's open. I highly doubt it's an LS front, those are VERY rare.
