Engine Swap / Tranny Type
Recently purchased a 1983 F100 short bed 4x2 for 1500.00. No rust/no bondo. Problem is it has a 232v6. Trying to find out what tranny (automatic) is in it and will a 302 bolt up to it. Can anyone help??

The tranny is a C5, it will bolt up to a 302, but, isn't worth it.
To drop a 302 in there, you'll need 302/351W engine stands... Look up Greywolf, he did the same swap in his 82.
