crank no start.

04 Ford Expedition 5.4 L , 110,000 miles . Truck was running fine I was turned off in the driveway went back an hour later to pick the kids up from school put the key in the truck only cranks will not start. that was oka check the fuel pump fus that wa that was fine, pull the air filter hit with starter fluid she started right up only runs with starter fluid.

Any help would be great thank you

Sounds like you probably need a new fuel pump. Test for fuel pressure on the fuel rail to make sure.

Disconnect the negative battery cable for a minute, reconnect, then try to start.

You have to test actual fuel pressure.

Test for spark at all cylinders.

Is the CEL on?

If so, check for DTCs.

Note I am sure you are not suppose to use

Starting fluid on these trucks.

Can you hear the fuel pump prime?

Check for loose wires and connections make

Sure your battery terminals are clean especially neg and grounds.
