Yo Steve83; Thanks for the link, I saved that one into my favorites. I noticed in the link you provided that it did list the 1350 but that it's off the Ford mini truck applications.
Enjoy'n the site, lots of good info to glean & hang on to for future reference.
I did a little follow up, but Advance Adapters doesn't list a kit to do what you started to ask about, the do addapt the C4 to the following T/C's...
Dana 18 6spline
Dana 20 6 spline
Dana 300 23 spline
and several chain drive New Process transfercases.
What are you putting this into? What size of motor, stock or hopped up?
In my opinion, depending on what you are trying to accomplish, I avoid "chain drive" transfercases as much as possible because they never stand up to hardcore use as well as a gear drive transfercase. If you wanted the ultimate low range gearing behind your automatic, addapt your C4 to the Dana 300, [2.62:1 low range] then swap in a Tera Low Manufacturing 4:1 gearset & if necessary clock the T/C to the left side output... . Lots of work but like I said, it depends what you are trying to do with it.
I've towed ~12,000lb, ripped out stumps, and driven everywhere I've ever wanted to on my original NP-208. In fact, it's probably the ONLY part on my truck that has never been serviced, repaired, or replaced. I know everybody dogs on chain-drive t-cases, but I can't kill this one no matter what I do. I've even towed a loaded trailer in front-wheel drive when my rear axle went out.
I'll give you guys some more info.
I'm putting a 351w infront of a c4...I have the 1350 off the truck its going into..(lifted 88 ranger, a tight swap even with the body lift)
I have all the parts to go 2 wd...but I dont wanna lose my 4x4.
I'm on a budget (college kid) so I was wondering if I had to swap out my t-case.$$
I think I can do it with that adapter...anything else I should know doing this swap?
any help is much appreciated.
