Cryogenically treated parts

I am in the process of rebuild a 4r100 transmission. One thing I have seen on a few vendor sites is offers of parts being "cryo'd" . Having worked with Liquid nitrogen, oxygen before I looked into the process.
ATTN; It is not a dip!
I found that Nascar uses this process on any wear related parts. Many institutional fleets (police, taxi's) use cryo'd rotors and brake pads and JW uses it on some of his parts.

I might just try it on some planetary's and a shaft or two

You'all weigh in on this....

Cost doesn't seem to be that expensive, drop ship your goodies to them.

For the vast majority of applications it is a waste IMO. In high performance severe duty racing applications the slight edge may be noticeable. Basically the cryogenic process helps stress relieve the part.
