Core Support Bushing Question

Does anybody happen to know the thickness of the bushing that goes between the core support and the frame, and the one under the mount? And possibly the size and lengths of the bolts used? I have access to materials to make the bushings, and practically any size bolt I need, so I just can't justify spending $70+ on a bushing set. Plus I just like making things.

I would measure mine, but they have deteriorated beyond recognition.

Thanks again for any help

I know the bolt is 5/8".

I'm guessing the actual rubber is 3/4"

I made some for a jeep one time.

I would assume if you make all the same size, and change all of them, you should be ok

Thank you for the responses, I am having a heck of a time figuring out exactly what I am going to do. I just spent an hour at a junk yard that said they had some for $20 only to find out all of theirs are rotten too. I just can't justify spending the $92 that they have listed on the Bronco Graveyard site, and LMC is outrageous priced also. Has anybody on this site come up with a design or method for making a cheaper version of these?

I have some ideas of what I am going to do, but just didn't want to go about it completely wrong.

On the Jeep, I got some 3/16" steel plate, and took a 3 1/2" hole saw, and cut some washers.
Then I cut some 3/4" high density rubber sheet with the same hole saw. Makes lots of smoke, so do this outside

Then I took a slightly larger than 5/8" drill, and cut center hole of the washers and the rubbers.

I sandwiched the rubber with 2 washers and ran the bolt down through everything.

I just pulled the front end off the same year truck. IF I can remember I'll measure them tomorrow for you.

i used a hockey buck with a hole drilled in the center on each side of my 96 350. height is damn near perfect. i may have shimmed it slightly. been in there for 3 or 4 years now and no trouble whatsoever. i also ran stainless bolts though it.

Keep in mind these part numbers are from a Ford Parts Catalog circa 1996 so most likely they have been superceded.

A big thank you to everybody who helped give advise. I was able to get the core support swapped out this weekend. Instead of buying new bushings, or using hockey pucks, i used a pair of bushings from my old radius arms, and a set of hard rubber bushings on the bottom. Then i bought some 4" grade 8 bolts and a variety of washers, and got it almost exactly where it needed to be. My truck no longer looks like the front end is going down hill. All in all I think I had about $10 dollars in my core support bushings, $30 in the core support, and about $10 in paint and bed liner spray to try to prevent this from happening again. Definitely not a bad deal.
