so i swapped out to f250 coil springs in the front..
now it looks like my truck is driving up a hill
i checked the leafs in the back. drivers side has a cracked leaf 1/2 missing!
what the cheapest way to fix? will something from a 250 or 350 fit and raise up the rear some? i wanna get a few inches of lift.
If so what tools would i need to get it from the junkyard. They DONT allow torches..
Do you have 2wd or 4wd?F250 rear springs are 3 in wide.F150 2wd are 2 1/2 in wide.If you have 4x4 then the f250 springs should bolt in.However, remember that the springs have diffrent GVW ratings. If you're removing them from another truck, check the tag in the door jamb and maybe do some measuring with the donor truck at rest.(if possible)
Depending on where you live (rust-wise) getting leaf springs out of a truck without a torch is going to suck to say the least. You may be better off buying new springs, mounts and shackles if yours are in rough shape.
