This has been alot of great info.......

I was debating on taking the DPF off and beating the inside of it out then putting it back on. Some people I have talked to did that to pass the visual inspection if they ever have an inspection. Here in NC they dont care about diesels.

I do alot of city driving and idling. I do some highway hauls maybe once a month so hopefully that will help this issue. I like to leave my vehicles stock though so I dont get into any trouble.

Making sure active regens are completing will help IMHO.
I do all my town driving in tow/haul. The higher shift points keeps the revs up and regens down. And no, the MPG's don't change at all. But I do get a kick out of reading about some of the butcher jobs taking place.

I run manual mode with higher shift points.
Less wear and tear on brakes too.
This transmission likes shifting around 2,000 RPM the best.

Me too. I like to go WOT and try to shift through all the gears without going over 2200. Really fun way to get on the interstate.
