Is that the big black cylindrical pipe? How do you move that? I have never taken it off.
Any suggestions on the tool?
Yes, the big black tube. You need a deep 11MM socket to loosen the boots at either end.
The best tool for the clamp is the one made for them. It's a cable that will hook on the clamp that you can squeeze to lock. Work great, but spendy for a one time use.
Thank you all for all the responses and help. I looked up that part...$60! Def the most expensive hose replacement I've ever done, lol. I will report back once I get started, seems straighforward enough. I am just worried about getting that clamp off near the engine.

So I loosened up the strap clamp aroudn the big black tube and it wont budge. And I supposed to loosen the bolts holding on the base as well and remove that too?? Asking before I do it because I do not know what any of that is...
OK so I think I can get this thing done if I just could remove that pipe. It looks like there is another strap clamp at the other end, but it seems impossible to get a ratchet down there! Even with the longest socket extention I have....do I need to get an even longer one??
No problem! I actually got pretty frustrated with the whole thing and took it to my mechanic to get it done. I watched him do it...it was poetry in motion. He got that tube off with no issue what so ever, lol.
You are probably right, I wiggled that thing around a good while! But I called myself tightening it back up so I could move the truck, but I am sure I did not get it that tight. Plus he was using a nice drill....I was using a ratchet/socket, ha!
