Your truck is Sequential Fuel Injection. I think Conanski has stated there were some early MAF batch fire systems out there, perhaps not. But yours is definitely SFI....

All MAF vehicles are sequential but not all SD vehicles are batch fired.. though it's nearly all of them.. as far as I know the one and only exception was the '88 Mustang which was sequential SD.

That's not true. Several of the early 90's vehicles that got MAF were still batch-fired. From '96 onward I think you can safely say that everything was SEFI.

All MAF truck systems are SEFI. I'm also quite sure that most if not every Ford MAF system is SEFI.

The old 2.3 Turbos in the Mustang/Thunderbird were batch fire, but they used an AFM/VAM which is not mass-air.

Do you consider the Ranger a "truck"? The 2.3 Ranger went MAF in '91 but didn't go SEFI until '95.

2.3 Mustang also went MAF in '91 but only the CA versions got SEFI.

I guess they are batch fire, but I still don't know of any other engines besides the 2.3 that are MAF and batch fire. No full-sized truck or Bronco was ever MAF and batch fire.

Did the 94 302 come stock with MASS Air? I wasn't aware there were any model trucks before 96 that had that option.

94-95 California and Massachusetts 302s were mass-air. All light duty F-150/Bronco went mass air and OBD-II in '96. I believe some '97 HD trucks were mass-air and OBD-II.

What's the reason for doing this? Emissions? Why not for the 5.8? I could see that in CA (emissions) but I am not familiar with MA. Doesn't seem right to support these configurations unless there was a compelling reason to do so for each state.
