power steering fluid & procedure please.
it's the snuggyworm again. just noticed the other day that my power steering fluid bottle was very dark. figured it's time to change it out.
been looking for the procedure to do a flush.
if anyone is familiar, please refresh my memory on the procedure.
i've heard that dextron 3 is a problem on the seals. what is the best fluid to put into the power steering? mercon SP? if so, how many quarts?
now i'm supposed to turn the wheel over to the right, pull out a hose, put it into a pail and pump the brakes to get as much fluid out as possible. which hose is it and can anyone provide a pic please?
thanks in advance to all the feedback i'll get.
just trying to give her a little TLC.
p.s. btw, i've already installed the new inner drag link and i'm driving around without my steering stabilizer cos that thing is shot already. i had great help from Toreador Diesel. i'm thinking of doing my alignment first, then get that steering stabilizer replaced in about a week or two. good idea or not? i'll be posting pics later.

lmao! dont worry bout my steering stabilizer. it aint there yet. lol. but yes, by the time i do this procedure, i'll already have had the new steering stabilizer installed. i got my heart set on the Bilstein 5100 steering stabilizer. i figured it would match my current bilsteins. lol.
