6.9 weight

I'm looking at buying an engine stand to work on my 6.9 in the future. Can anybody tell me the weight of a 6.9??

or one similar, go ahead and get the one ton stand. you want the stability of a bigger stand.

complete engine full of fluids around 1200 as Joe said.
empty around 900-1000.

you will want at least a 2000 lb stand to hold it up safely.

So it holds 2-300 lbs of fluid?

Edit: Sorry to nit pick. The point is you need a heavy duty engine stand.

x2 on th 2000 lb stand. Put mine on a cheap harbor fright 1200 lb stand and it bent the hell out of it. then I had to turn around and buy another stand (2000lb) so I could feel safe working on it.
