Third Brake Light
Found the third brake light assembly of my 2001 F150 had some bulbs burned out so decided to fix. Removed the two screws and found the plastic had melted in several places, 2 of 3 bulb holders were burned and in several places the lens was cracked. Found a used one and tried to install. Got the assembly out then pulled on the wiring bundle to get to the factory electrical connector but it did NOT budge. I read several posts on changing out this lens assembly and they made it sound really simple (pull the wires out through the hole, disconnect the connector on the bad lens attach the new lens connector and push back through the hole) process. No one really mentioned getting to this wiring connector should the wires NOT come out through the hole providing access to the connector.. Sooo HOW do you get to the factory electrical connector located in the cab roof??? Am I missing something to push/pull and release or what? THANKS for any info....

When I put my Lightning third in I just pulled the hell out of the harness and barely got it connected, I want to say there is a harness holder close to the hole that is holding everything tight. BTW the Lightning assembly handles the heat much better as well as looking 100% better.
