Sold the X :(

Well it was a tough decision but I sold the X last week. My oldest daughter turned 18 and is doing her own thing gonna be going off to college leaving just me, wife and my youngest daughter doing the camping trips etc...I just didnt have the need for the X anymore. It killed me to sell her she was an 04 Limited V-10 with 85K on the clock in mint shape and ran like a top.

I put her on CL for what I thought was a price a little on the high end and she sold to the first guy that saw and drove her, I wish him luck she treated me right for many miles. I really enjoyed her and will miss her.

With that being said I didnt leave the Ford brotherhood and picked me up an 08 F350 Lariat crew cab long bed with the 6.4 Power Stroke in her. Had the chance to pull my 9K LB camper home with her last week and man what a beast! I had towed my camper down to the camp ground 3 weeks earlier with the X and needed to tow her home with the F350 but I knew none of my bars and hitch were set correctly. I hooked my camper up added some air to the bags to make everything level and off I went the 35 miles home, it pulled great no sway nothing. That 6.4 with the 5spd tranny really got things done, I was grinning ear to ear. I will hook the WD up before next years trip and get it all dialed in but our season is over for this year so I am not gonna worry about it now.

So I will be spending my time over on the 6.4 forum from here on out but I wanted to thank all the guys here for helping me over the years with the X.

On a side not I have a bunch of parts from the X that I did not sell with her....

Moderators Edit: Sorry RC, selling in the tech forum isn't allowed. I deleted the items you had listed. Please re-list them in the classified ad forum and your local chapter if you're a member there.

Thanks.

Thanks again for all the help through the years, I will pop in from time to time. I still have a big soft spot for the X's.

Rc

Sorry to hear you sold it. I've owned mine for less than a year and would have a really tough time selling.

RCRacerX - I'm with ya' Bud. I still pop in here occasionally as I really miss the Ex. The dog is 150 pounds and getting bigger and the kids keep accumulating "more stuff". But, I have to say, i don't miss it all that much on the long pulls with the new 6.7 Diesel. Ex has been gone for about 5 months now; gone but NOT forgotten.
