well the sun shined on my sorry *** today and i finally found me a highboy. 1974 f-250 a/c truck ranger xlt full time 4x4. its not real pretty lots of normal rust and dents. on a plus side it runs and drives good. tranny shifts fine and the motor sounds good. its not all cut up inside. another plus is someone did the powersteering conversion to it already. it has a 78/79 box on it. think i did alright on the price lots better shape than the one i looked at a month ago. i dont have pictures yet should have some here by the weekend.
Sounds like a good buy. Pics would also be great . So random question, don't wana jack the thread but why did some trucks have full time 4x4? Is that common....
Actually those NP203s are great cases for what they are designed for. My old 76 was MUCH better to drive on snowy, icy or rainy roads before the chain in the 203 started skipping teeth and got replaced with a 205. Too bad they drop your mpg so much or it would be a great case to run on a dd.
