4WD VS RWD

I'm lost in this area, the 4WD seems to carry a 5k premium. Is it worth it? I've only owned FWD vehicles for the last 20 years, before that I had a RWD chevette in High School. Give me your insights O' Wise and Powerful X Xperts.

Thanks
John

4x4 is what you will want .. 2wd will be ok ( i have 2wd) but where there is lots of snow and ice 4x4 is nicer.. where as i have to chain up or just drive like a dick

If you plan on using it in ANY inclement wheather conditions or off road at all, you have to go 4WD, you WILL regret it if you don't. But if it will stay on the pavement and it gets stored winters, 2WD will work for ya. Good luck bro!

Go 4wd, heck I'm in CA and still drive it through lots of snow and ice on road trips east, well worth it.

The biggest mistake I made when I bought mine was getting 2WD.

There's a reason 4wd carries a premium in Canada eh! We need it all the time with driving to our igloos and such.
But seriously yes it's obviously in high demand in your area to have 4wd. It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Lots of 4wd for sale in florida with low mileage too.
No rust but importing is prob a pain.
4wd would be better in winter.

1978 Chevrolet Chevette - Dealership Film - YouTube

Mine was a '78 with a '81 front clip.

4x4 version looks pretty good too...

I'm going to be importing, I've found nothing locally worth buying. I want to spend about 18-20K. found a couple on ebay but I'm a little worried about buying a car without looking at it first.
