I had a P0271 code and changed the #4 injector. No change so I went on to checking the wiring. Found the #3 lead short to ground (FICM chassi). Wiring looked good so I suspected FICM.
Checked the FICM and the pin itself is short to FICM chassi. Pin is X1 #24. Non of the others on X1 goes to chassi so am I correct in assuming its the FICM itself? If so, what can I do?
Oh, truck is an -05 6,0 F350 powerstroke. FICM fixed by Curcuit board medics a couple of years ago.
Couldnt make it out in the 6,0 bible but according to the diagram #3 lead on cyl 4 goes to X1 #24. Were it goes inside I dont know.
It was the FICM. #24 on X1 short. Got a used FICM and now its runnig perfect. Anyone know how to open it? I have a talanted friend who might be able to fix the old one.
