Going to college, I found that a ford truck is the 2-3rd most stolen vehicle. This has made me think about possibly installing a cut off switch, don't know which way, probably ignition? I want a switch, somewhat hidden under the dash that I can reach from the drivers seat, that will not allow you to start the engine. It'll atleast help, don't need it being stolen. I figure it's better than installing an alarm. Anyone ever do this before? I'm not sure which wires to tap into to put a switch on.

Do a search in the electrical forum.... lots of ideas there. Here's one thread, for starters......https://www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/electrical/619.html. Hope this helps!
I see you're running the MSD unit, why don't you use their system to disable the ignition? I believe you run the violet wire through a switch and then to ground (if you use the white wire in your ignition setup); simply flip the switch to ground it, the engine will crank but wont start. I'm gonna try this myself when I get some free time.
Yeah, I have the 6a, i'm going to try that idea, thanks.

FYI
When I used to do LP gas convertions on these trucks. I would interrupt the fuel pump circuit after the inertia switch and run it to the 3-way switch we used to control the LP. That way in an crash the inertia switch shut off the LP. This is a handy place to put an anti-theft switch. No fuel no steal
